Mishaan-al-Juburi: I Support the Kurds’ Right to an Independent State

Mishaan Jubouri, leader of the “Watan” Party and a member of the Iraqi Parliament, one of the most prominent Sunni politicians, stated in his latest television interview: “The Kurds were annexed to Iraq due to the Sykes-Picot Agreement. It is their natural right to have their own independent state, and I support the Kurds’ right to an independent state. In my opinion, the Kurds are the last oppressed nation on earth.”
