On Saturday, Nechirvan Barzani, President of the Kurdistan Region, is scheduled to travel to Tehran. The purpose of the visit is to mediate between Turkey and Iran regarding the disarmament of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) and to discuss relations between the Kurdistan Region and Iran, particularly concerning government formation and the issue of Eastern Kurdistan forces [Komala, PAK, Democratic Party, and others] in the Kurdistan Region.
